Universities sign Resolution against Sexual Harassment

The state and the universities have signed a resolution against sexual discrimination, sexual harassment and violence. In addition, there should be a lawyer of confidence to answer questions on these issues.

The state and the universities of Baden-Württemberg are sending a clear signal against sexual discrimination, sexual harassment and violence: Representatives of all types of universities and Science Minister Theresia Bauer jointly signed a resolution. As a further measure to protect those affected, the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts is funding and appointing a lawyer of confidence for issues relating to sexual discrimination, sexual harassment and violence for the institutions within the Ministry's portfolio. The announcement of this position will be made shortly.

"It is very important to me to make it clear that we do not tolerate any form of sexual harassment or sexualised discrimination in our institutions," said Science Minister Theresia Bauer.
