BMBF event with Research Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger on International Women's Day

What can we do together to further strengthen gender parity in the science system? And why is equality a prerequisite for freedom? On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, 2024, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and Wissenschaft im Dialog invite you to a debate on freedom and gender equality in science. The event begins at 10 a.m. at the Literaturhaus in Frankfurt am Main (admission from 9.30 a.m.). Participation is free of charge, registration is requested.

Federal Research Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger will open the event with a speech on International Women's Day. This will be followed by a panel discussion with the Chair of the German Ethics Council, Prof. Dr. Alena Buyx, the deep-sea researcher and Director of the Alfred Wegener Institute, Prof. Dr. Antje Boetius, and the President of the German Informatics Society, Christine Regitz. Mona Ameziane will moderate the event. Afterwards, the audience is invited to come together in a relaxed atmosphere over coffee and snacks and to exchange ideas.
