New horizon for Europe - Opportunities for research and innovation
with the EU Framework Program 2021-2027
on Wednesday, December 9, 2020

The new EU framework program for research and innovation "Horizon Europe" starts on January 1, 2021 and will be one of the largest funding programs for research and innovation worldwide. As the successor to the current "Horizon 2020" program, Horizon Europe also includes a wide range of support options for companies, universities and research institutions in Baden-Württemberg. Start-ups, scale-ups and all other highly innovative companies will also find the new funding in the European Innovation Council particularly exciting.

The Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Employment and Housing of Baden-Württemberg would like to provide you with comprehensive information about R&D funding opportunities from "Horizon Europe" before the program starts and offer you the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences.

The event will be opened by Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economics, Labor and Housing and Theresia Bauer, Minister of Science, Research and the Arts. You can look forward to high-ranking representatives of the European Commission such as Jean-David Malo, Director of the European Innovation Council and Dr. Waldemar Kütt, Director of the European Research Council. The focus is on the three pillars of Horizon Europe: "Scientific Excellence", "Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness" and "Innovative Europe".

In parallel online sessions, experts from the European Commission, the National Contact Points, Steinbeis 2i and the Steinbeis Europe Center will explain the main topics behind the three pillars of Horizon Europe, the opportunities offered by the funding program and the requirements you need to meet to apply for funding. In addition, free initial consultations on joint projects and individual company funding are offered.

Whether basic research, joint projects or individual company funding - at the virtual event on "Horizon Europe" you can find your next European R&D projects as well as suitable project partners. It's time to bundle competences and forge ideas for project proposals!
