Studying with child

Raising one or more children and studying at the same time is above all an organisational challenge and often represents a double burden. Therefore, one should take care of the organisation of childcare, parental leave etc. at an early stage. The Studentenwerk as well as the family service of the university can be of help here. Advice and assistance for students during breastfeeding can be obtained from the Service Center for Studies (SCS).

The Studierendenwerk helps students with the organisation of child care and the possibilities of financial support during pregnancy, maternity leave, parental leave and the study phase with child. The University's Family Service not only provides you with comprehensive information about childcare during your studies, but also about all breastfeeding and nappy-changing facilities, parent rooms and children's areas in the refectories of the Studierendenwerk.
