Offers from the University of Freiburg:

  • The International Graduate Academy (Internationale Graduiertenakademie, IGA) of the University of Freiburg offers detailed and expert advice on all questions regarding doctoral sponsorship, especially related to the women's advancement programme:
    The International Graduate Academy is the central contact point of the University of Freiburg for questions regarding doctorates. You can do a doctorate at all eleven faculties of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg – a number of doctoral programmes are offered in addition to "classic" individual doctorates. If you have any questions, please contact the Resource Staff member of the International Graduate Academy www.iga.uni-freiburg.de/team responsible for you, and please provide the details of your faculty affiliation. We would be happy to arrange a consultation appointment with you.
  • The Science Support Centre (SSC) of the University of Freiburg offers advice and support in obtaining third-party funding.

  • Hildegardis-Verein e.V.

Funding for Christian women of all disciplines, universities and professional goals. Repayable loans up to a maximum of EUR 10,000 will be awarded. You can find more information at:

  • Gerda Tschira Scholarship of the Klaus Tschira Foundation

Funding of compulsory study stays outside of Europe for single-parent students of economics and information sciences. Funding in the form of a non-repayable scholarship for degree or doctoral studies. The amount is determined on an individual basis. Further information:

  • Committee for the Scholarship Programme for Outstanding Students (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Begabtenförderungswerke) in the Federal Republic of Germany. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research supports the eleven Scholarship Programmes for Outstanding Students, reflecting the plurality of German society through the recipients.
